These birds have been seen or heard and identified at Blackberry Farm.

Some have been seen just flying over.

In past years an Osprey, on its migration route, has stayed for a few days on the lakes adjacent to the nursery. Others have spotted a Sea Eagle and Storks flying high overhead. Another strange visitor was a tame budgerigar, escapee from a nearby aviary perhaps.

A Nightingale stayed here for a few brief weeks, delighting us all with its beautiful song. I wish it would return!

Keep an eye open for the local Barn Owls. They do hunt during the day, especially when they have young to feed.
