Salvia Animo

Salvia Animo is a tall salvia with long branches dripping with silky, blue flowers which look stunning against the inky black stems and calyces. This is the sister to Salvia Amistad but with blue flowers instead. Other similar salvias include Salvia Amante amd Salvia Amigo both having differing flower colours.

A larger variety perfect for the back of the border or as a specimen plant in a large pot. Perfect for adding colour over late summer and Autumn.

A very long flowering period right through to the first frosts in winter. Plant in a sheltered position in free draining soil or prepare to protect over the winter months.

The flowers are very attractive to bees and other pollinators. Looks great in the border or alternatively in pots or containers.

As with most salvias trim back in late summer for Autumn flowering and then leave over the winter. A trim in the warmth of the spring will help strong re-growth.
