Salvia Rockin, Deep Purple

Salvia Rockin, Deep Purple

Salvia Rockin Deep Purple is one of the new range of salvias in the Rockin series. We like to consider it a dwarf form of the popular Amistad

It has masses of violet flowers surrounded by dark, almost black calyxes, on top of sturdy, green upright foliage. with a height of just 70cm, it makes an ideal pot plant or on the edge of a protected border. Like other salvias, it should be protected from the cold weather and planted in free draining soil. Flowering time can extend from the spring to late summer and will prefer full sun or semi shade (sun for half the day).

Any flowering salvia is excellent at attracting pollinating insects such as hover flies, bees and butterflies.

If kept in a pot (recommended), feed every 4 weeks or more in drier weather.
