Salvia Rockin, Deep Purple
Salvia Rockin, Deep Purple (in a 3 Litre Pot)
Salvia Rockin Deep Purple is one of the new range of salvias in the Rockin series. We like to consider it a dwarf form of the popular Amistad.
This variety has sturdy, green foliage. Masses of violet flowers surrounded by dark, almost black calyxes throughout the summer months. These flowers are also very attractive to bees and other pollinators. A very long flowering season from Spring to late Summer.
With a height of just 70cm it makes an ideal pot plant or at the edge of a sheltered border. Plant in a free draining soil in full sun or semi-shade. Deadhead frequently in order to encourage new flowers.
Like other salvias, it should be protected from the cold weather.
If kept in a pot (recommended), feed every 4 weeks or more in drier weather.
