Tarragon, Four Seasons (Tagetes lucida)

Tarragon, Four Seasons – Tagetes lucida

Tarragon, Four Seasons – Tagetes lucida is not the true Tarragon. It is an excellent substitute for when genuine Tarragon is dormant during the Winter. This plant originates from South America, it is also known as ‘Mexican Tarragon’. Glossy green leaves and yellow flowers in the Summer.

Add this culinary plant to any dishes that require Tarragon. The flavour works well with chicken, fish, rice, and salad dressings. It is of course the main ingredient for Béarnaise sauce.

Requires warm Winter protection. Plant in a sunny spot with well drained soil or grow in a container.
