Sage, Honey Melon – Salvia elegans
Sage, Honey Melon – Salvia elegans is a half-hardy perennial. It is similar to Tangerine Sage but with refreshing melon scented foliage.
Attractive spires of red flowers in summer which are also popular with bees and pollinators.
The scented leaves can add flavour to cakes and fruit concoctions. Try in cool summer drinks or cocktails.
Advisable to grow in a large pot and treat as a house or conservatory plant during the winter.
