Sage (Salvia officinalis)

Sage – Salvia officinalis is a hardy evergreen perennial with soft grey-green leaves.

Likes a light warm soil with good drainage. Sages are also ideal for growing in pots but ensure to not over water.

A very popular culinary herb it can be added to many dishes. Works particularly well with pork, game and sausages. It is a great companion with rich foods as it can aid digestion.

An ancient herb with many medicinal properties too. Salvia derives from the latin ‘salveo’ meaning save or heal.
