Salvia Chalk White

Salvia Chalk White is less compact variety with chalky white flowers. The growth habit is similar to ‘Walsingham White’ and has a wonderful scent of the children’s sweets – Skittles

Like all salvias, we recommend dead-heading and gentle pruning during the flowering season but leave them alone from October and trim them back once the frosts have passed in late spring.

During the flowering season (spring to late summer outside), trim back spent flowers to next leaf node. Additionally, if in a pot, feed once every 3 – 4 weeks with a seaweed fertiliser.

Salvias are wonderful at attracting insects and we have even seen hummingbird hawkmoths on the flowers.
