Salvia Discolor – Andean Silver Leaved Sage
Salvia Discolor – Andean Silver Leaved Sage
Salvia Discolor – Andean Silver Leaved Sage is a really striking variety of Salvia that is new for us in 2020!
It has soft leaves of pale grey green and tall flower spikes with the most gorgeous deep indigo flowers that look almost black with the contrast of the lighter foliage. We are really head over heels in love with this unusual Salvia.
As with other Salvias the flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinators.
Looks great in the border or alternatively in pots or containers. This isn’t the hardiest of Salvias so we recommend bringing inside over the winter months.
If kept in very well drained soil it may last a little longer in late autumn but it won’t like a frost.
