Classic for hedging or edging providing colour and scent for your garden and nectar for bees and butterflies. There is a variety for every garden whether it is a dwarf cultivar such the Bee Zee series, the ever popular, traditional Hidcote or a taller, old-fashioned variety such as Vera.

Adds a perfumed flavour to food, distilled for oils for the pharmaceutical and aromatherapy industries and, if dried, a wonderful scent for the home. All Lavenders are amazing plants for pollinating insects and many, including the stoechas (French) varieties, are great for containers.  Lavender requires a very free draining soil and full sun. And it is really important to trim back the plants just as soon as the flowers begin to fade. This will strengthen the plant before the winter wind and rain and help to prevent the plant from becoming leggy.
