Description:
Chamomile, Double Flowered (Chamaemelum nobile ‘Flore Pleno’)
Chamomile, Double Flowered – Chamaemelum nobile ‘Flore Pleno’
Chamomile, Double Flowered – Chamaemelum nobile ‘Flore Pleno’ is similar to Chamomile ‘Treneague’ but with cream, double flowers.
It is a hardy evergreen perennial with highly aromatic feathery leaves. Spread 30cm. Great for ground cover, growing between paving stones and lawns.
The name ‘Chamaemelum’ in fact derives from the Greek ‘Khamaimelon’ meaning ‘Earth Apple’. A perfect name in reference to the apple scented foliage.
A medicinal and culinary herb. Use the flowers in a delicious tea or use in a hair rinse for blonde hair.
