Chamomile, Roman – Chamaemelum nobile is a hardy low growing perennial with fragrant foliage in addition to pretty white flowers in summer.
The name ‘Chamaemelum’ in fact derives from the Greek ‘Khamaimelon’ meaning ‘Earth Apple’. A perfect name in reference to the apple scented foliage.
This is the original lawn chamomile that can used to create an aromatic lawn. Alternatively, allow the plant to develop and harvest the flowers. Use them in a tea or in a hair rinse for blonde hair.
