Muskmallow (Malva moschata)

Muskmallow – Malva moschata

Muskmallow – Malva moschata is a native plant with finely cut foliage. Particularly attractive pink flowers in summer, although sometimes white. Furthermore they produce a delicate musky smell, noticeable more if you bring flowers inside. A great plant to grow to attract pollinators to your garden.

Combines well with Lavenders and Hyssops in the herb garden.

Medicinally, many uses. The root can make a syrup to relieve coughs and chest infections. Young leaves are edible too. Boil them as a vegetable.
