Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Wormwood – Artemisia absinthium

Wormwood is a partially evergreen, hardy perennial. An upright herb with fragrant grey foliage. Insignificant yellow flowers in summer months.

Plant in a light, well drained soil in a sunny position. Do not plant near Dill or Coriander as their flavour can be impaired. Wormwood also looks good in a container.

The herb has many uses, as well as medicinal it can be helpful at repelling moths.

Wormwood is also used to make the famous drink Absinthe.
